- People are extremely interested in Obama's Health Care Plan

- Evangelical is the most common faith in this region (non-monotheistic religions are virtually unheard of)
- House shoes are to be worn at all times
- Left overs is a foreign concept
- Toilet paper is very hard and not too absorbent
- Scarfs are a must
- People hate garlic as well as spices in general
- Bakeries can be found at every corner
- The dog can do no wrong
- Speaking about a woman's age is not taboo
- All are highly weight conscious
- It is common to buy a new car every 2 years
- The average school cafeteria is more like a resaurant where one can choose between a large variety of items

ReplyDeleteSeems like we are encountering some of the same things. Everyone wants to talk about Obama's health care here in Spain. I went to some cathedrals with my family and they find it hard to understand what I am if I am not Catholic and not Protestant. Therefore I haven't even tried to explain Unitarian Universalism. Hope all is well.
